Adnan Januzaj - Manchester United

Anyone that has played Football Manager 2014 knows how good this kid is. In my save I've played him as a first team player from the beginning to see how good this guy can really get. I play him as one of the two central attacking midfielders in the 4-6-0 formation (Rooney usually being the other one...

Re: 4-6-0 tactics on managing Manchester United

I had an extraordinary season winning the Premier Division , tallying up a total of 95 points and only losing 3 times in the campaign despite having numerous injuries half way through the season. Manchester United's goal difference was the most superior in the division with a notable +71, scoring a ...

Re: 4-6-0 tactics on managing Manchester United

The third season was pretty successful as players adjusted to the 4-6-0 formation, winning the title in the Premier Division and picking up the Capital One Cup with a 2-1 win over Arsenal in the final. Squad rotation wasn't quite strong enough to mount a serious FA Cup run as the team was knocked ou...

Re: 4-6-0 tactics on managing Manchester United

Well the second season was very tough. I've stuck with the same 4-6-0 formation and tactics and been close to most of the trophies on offer but unfortunately I fell down at the last hurdle. The second team had a great run in the Capital One Cup reaching the final, but Chelsea provided to be too stro...

Wayne Rooney - Manchester United

After a lot of tinkering with team selection in the first 2 seasons managing Man Utd it looked like Mata, Januzaj and Van Persie were all better starters than Rooney, so for the first 2 seasons I played him as a rotational player. I got a good offer from Arsenal for the ageing Van Persie after the s...

Re: Individual training

I'm pretty lazy when it comes to individual training, so any advice would be great.

Hi ColonelPanic,

Looking forward to seeing your progress on this.

I never bother with the intra-squad friendly either. It's unlikely that you'll gain any new information from playing it.

Who are you going to buy to plug your left sided midfield position?

4-6-0 tactics on managing Manchester United

Has anyone else played the 4-6-0 formation with Manchester United? I thought that this would go against the players you start with Manchester United but I seem to have had quite some success with it. I came 1st in the league in my first season only conceding 29 goals in the league, although I had to...

How many hours do you reckon you've built up over the time?

Look at my hours spent on football manager 2010 :|

Re: Lowestoft Town - Shooting from the Ship

Wow what a story! Congratulations on all your success! I can't believe you managed to get Anton Ferdinand in the lower leagues, what was his wage demands? Was a 34 year old David Silva still up to the task? What would you say was your most difficult season? I always find the Championship the hardest...
